A special Sneak Preview of What Love Is: Pathfinders,a powerful and uplifting new documentary starring Aspen's own Kristin MacDermott and Tina Staley will be presented at the Wheeler Opera House on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 5:30-7 pm. Shot in 2009 in Aspen, Rome and North Carolina, What Love is: Pathfinders documents the dramatic rise of MacDermott and Staley's landmark Pathfinders protocol, including its birth at Aspen Valley Hospital, outside which the two social workers are pictured during production last summer. Beyond Aspen, What Love Is: Pathfinders chronicles the heroic efforts of several Stage IV breast cancer patients and their doctors, who put Pathfinders to the test and discovered just how well patients could live - and die - when empowered by the "Seven Pillars of Personal Recovery" that Pathfinders pioneered to reignite hope, help patients regain a sense of control over their lives and revolutionize end-of-life care.
